How to use Social image resizer

Social image resizer fits a picture onto a fixed canvas: square 1080 x 1080, portrait 1080 x 1350, story 1080 x 1920 or landscape 1200 x 630. Contain shows the whole image with borders in your chosen background color, while cover fills the canvas and crops the overflow. The output is a PNG.

  1. Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
  2. Adjust the basic settings, then open Advanced mode for export and fine-tuning options. Custom settings stay active when the panel is closed.
  3. Run social image resizer, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between contain and cover?

Contain scales the image so all of it fits inside the canvas, leaving bars in your chosen background color. Cover scales it until the canvas is completely filled, centering the image and cropping whatever extends past the edges.

Which preset should I use for a link preview image?

The Landscape 1200 x 630 preset matches a common link preview shape. These are general presets, so confirm the current dimensions with the destination platform before uploading.

Can I enter a custom size in the social image resizer?

No. Only the four presets are available. For other dimensions, use an image resizer that accepts a custom width and height, then return here if you need a preset canvas.

Where is my input processed?

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
