Com utilitzar What is my IP

What is my IP shows the public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses your connection uses as soon as the page opens. Your browser sends two separate requests, to api.ipify.org and api6.ipify.org, each with a 6.5-second timeout. Each address that answers is checked as a public unicast address and gets a one-click copy button, and Refresh repeats the lookup.

  1. Open the page; IPv4 and IPv6 lookups begin after the access check.
  2. Read each address as soon as its independent lookup finishes. An unavailable address remains clearly labeled.
  3. Use Copy address for either connected family, or Refresh to check again.

Què admet aquesta eina

Automatically checks public IPv4 and IPv6 independently from your browser using ipify. Each successful address appears immediately and has a copy button. A failed IPv6 check is reported as unavailable, not proof that every IPv6 route is disabled. VPNs, proxies, mobile networks and shared NAT can change the result.

Límits i processament

IPv4 and IPv6 are checked independently, with a 6.5-second timeout each. Missing IPv6 connectivity, filtering or a provider outage can make an address unavailable. No address is invented.

Preguntes freqüents

Why does my IPv6 address show as not reachable?

Your network may not support IPv6, a filter may block the lookup service, or the request may have timed out after 6.5 seconds. An unavailable result is not proof that every IPv6 route is disabled, and no address is guessed.

Why is my public IP different from the one in my device settings?

This tool shows the address internet services see. Routers using NAT, VPNs, proxies and mobile networks change that address, so it usually differs from a private address, such as 192.168.x.x, listed in your device settings.

What does the IP lookup send to ipify?

Two plain requests with cookies omitted and no referrer header; no input text is sent. The service necessarily sees the address it reports back to you, and the result is not stored by this site.

Where is my input processed?

Opening this tool sends separate requests from your browser to api.ipify.org and api6.ipify.org to discover your public connection addresses. No credentials or input text are sent. ToolCabana does not store the result.

What are the input limits?

IPv4 and IPv6 are checked independently, with a 6.5-second timeout each. Missing IPv6 connectivity, filtering or a provider outage can make an address unavailable. No address is invented.
