Com utilitzar IP address validator
The IP address validator checks whether text is a valid IPv4 or IPv6 address and returns its normalized form, its family and a range classification such as private, loopback or unicast. An optional /CIDR suffix is accepted. Parsing uses the ipaddr.js library, so compressed IPv6 notation is understood, and invalid input returns a clear error.

Preguntes freqüents
How can I tell if an IP address is private or public?
The Range classification row shows the category ipaddr.js assigns, for example private for 192.168.0.0/16, loopback for 127.0.0.1, or unicast for a normal public address. It describes the address only and does not look up who owns it.
What does the normalized IP address mean?
It is the address rewritten in the library's standard text form. Different spellings of the same IPv6 address, such as with or without leading zeros, produce the same normalized result, which makes addresses easier to compare.
Does the IP validator accept addresses with a CIDR prefix?
Yes. Input such as 10.0.0.0/8 is parsed as an address plus prefix, and the address part is validated. For network ranges, host counts and netmasks, use the IPv4 or IPv6 subnet calculator instead.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
What are the input limits?
Text operations generally accept up to 2,000,000 characters. Individual parsers, generators and formulas apply additional limits shown by their controls.
