Imibuzo evame ukubuzwa
How much should I have in my emergency fund for 6 months?
Multiply your monthly essential expenses by 6. With the default 2000 per month, the target is 12000. You choose the coverage months; the planner calculates the amount and does not recommend a specific number.
How long will it take to build my emergency fund?
The planner subtracts your current savings from the target and divides the rest by your monthly saving, rounding up. With a 12000 target, 1000 saved and 250 per month, it shows 44 months.
Does the emergency fund planner include interest on savings?
No. It uses only the amounts you enter, with no interest or inflation. If you already have the target saved, the remaining amount shows 0.
