### Why are names and acronyms lowercase after converting to sentence case?

The converter lowercases the entire text before capitalizing sentence starts, so proper nouns like London and acronyms like NASA lose their capitals. Review the result and restore those words by hand where needed.

### How does sentence case decide where a sentence starts?

It uses the sentence segmentation built into your browser for the selected language, which splits after sentence-ending punctuation such as periods and question marks. The first letter found in each detected sentence is capitalized, even when the sentence opens with a quote or number.
