## Overview (en)

JSON minifier removes the whitespace outside strings from valid JSON and returns a compact single-line result. It reports the original and minified size in bytes and how much smaller the output is. Advanced options sort object keys alphabetically or add a final newline, and the result downloads as minified.json.

### Does minifying JSON change any values?

No. Only whitespace outside strings is removed, so spaces inside string values are kept. Large integers that cannot be stored exactly are rejected with an error rather than rounded.

### How much smaller will my minified JSON be?

After each run the tool shows the original byte count, the minified byte count and the size change. Input that is already compact shows that there was no size change.

### Can I sort keys while minifying JSON?

Yes. Turn on Sort object keys alphabetically in Advanced mode. Keys in every nested object are reordered, while the order of items inside arrays stays as it was.
