## Overview (en)

Base64 encoder decoder converts text to Base64 using the exact UTF-8 bytes, or decodes Base64 back into UTF-8 text. A URL-safe option uses - and _ instead of + and / and omits padding. When decoding, a leading data: URI prefix is removed, and invalid characters, padding or non-UTF-8 bytes are reported as errors.

### How do I decode a Base64 string?

### What is URL-safe Base64?

URL-safe Base64 replaces + with - and / with _ and leaves out the = padding. Turn on the URL-safe option for both encoding and decoding when working with tokens or URL parameters.

### Can I decode Base64 that contains an image or binary file?
