Tool ID: image-diff. Requested language: kg. Description language: en. Complete guide translation: no; untranslated sections use English.

## Overview (en)

Visual image comparison finds the pixels that differ between two images of the same width and height. Each pixel whose largest channel difference exceeds a threshold, 20 by default, is marked bright red on a black background. The result reports the number and percentage of changed pixels and saves the difference map as difference.png.

## Supported tasks (en)

Highlight changed pixels between two equally sized images.

## Steps (en)

1. Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
2. Set pixel difference threshold.
3. Run visual image comparison, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

## Settings

- Pixel difference threshold (en; key: threshold; type: number); minimum: 0; maximum: 255

## Limitations (en)

Browser file and text limits apply, along with the bounds shown in Settings. Image processing is capped at 32 megapixels. OCR quality depends on source resolution and layout.

Processes source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source is not saved to account history.

## Questions (en)

### How do I compare two screenshots for differences?

Select exactly two images with identical dimensions and run the tool. Changed pixels appear bright red on a black image, and the stats show how many pixels changed and what percentage of the image that is.

### How does the pixel difference threshold work?

For each pixel the tool takes the largest difference across red, green, blue and alpha. Only differences above the threshold count as changes, so raising it ignores small shifts such as compression noise. Set it to 0 to flag any change.

### Can I compare images with different sizes?

No. Both images must have the same width and height, otherwise the tool stops with an error. Resize or crop one of them to match before comparing.

### Where is my input processed?

Processes source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source is not saved to account history.

### What are the input limits?

Browser file and text limits apply, along with the bounds shown in Settings. Image processing is capped at 32 megapixels. OCR quality depends on source resolution and layout.
