Object eraser removes an unwanted object from a photo by reconstructing the area you mark. Paint over the object with a brush of 1 to 200 pixels or type rectangle coordinates, and the selected pixels are rebuilt from the colors around them. ### How do I erase an object from a photo?

### Why does the erased area look blurry?

The fill is calculated from surrounding pixels rather than generated detail, so texture, patterns and straight lines inside the area are smoothed out. Smaller selections on even backgrounds such as sky or plain walls look more natural.

### What happens if my selection is too big?

If the marked region covers half the image or more, the tool stops and asks for a smaller selection, because it needs enough surrounding pixels. Reconstruction that takes longer than 30 seconds is also stopped with a request to select less.
