Tool ID: spreadsheet-comparison-tool. Requested language: bm. Description language: en. Complete guide translation: no; untranslated sections use English.

## Overview (en)

The spreadsheet comparison tool compares two CSV or XLSX files cell by cell and lists every difference with its key, column, left value and right value. Rows are matched by a key column you name or, when blank, by row number. Columns or rows present in only one file show as (missing), and up to 20,000 changed cells are reported.

## Supported tasks (en)

Compare selected sheets with optional key-based row alignment.

## Steps (en)

1. Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
2. Set sheet name (blank = first), key column (blank = row number).
3. Run spreadsheet comparison tool, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

## Settings

- Sheet name (blank = first) (en; key: sheet; type: text)
- Key column (blank = row number) (en; key: key; type: text)

## Limitations (en)

CSV/XLSX inputs are capped at 10 MB each, 200 columns and 20,000 rows; joined output is capped at 20,000 rows. JSONPath script/filter evaluation is disabled. Other operations apply their visible controls and text limits.

## Privacy and connections (en)

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.

## Questions (en)

### How do I compare two Excel sheets with rows in a different order?

Enter a key column, such as id, that identifies each row. Rows are then matched by key rather than position, so reordering does not create false differences. Keys must be unique in each file.

### Does the comparison include formatting and formulas?

No. Only cell values are compared. For XLSX files, formulas are compared by their cached results, and formatting such as colors or fonts is ignored.

### Which sheet is compared in an XLSX workbook?

The first sheet by default. Enter a sheet name to compare that sheet instead; the same name is used for both files. Each file can be up to 10 MB.

### Where is my input processed?

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.

### What are the input limits?

CSV/XLSX inputs are capped at 10 MB each, 200 columns and 20,000 rows; joined output is capped at 20,000 rows. JSONPath script/filter evaluation is disabled. Other operations apply their visible controls and text limits.
