Random name picker
How to use Random name picker
The random name picker draws 1 to 100 winners from a list you paste, one name per line, using cryptographic randomness. Picks are made without replacement, so no line wins twice in one draw. Blank lines are ignored, spaces are trimmed, and Remove duplicate entries is on by default; turn it off to let repeated names act as extra tickets.
- Paste the source into the input editor, or load the built-in example.
- Adjust the basic settings, then open Advanced mode for export and fine-tuning options. Custom settings stay active when the panel is closed.
- Run random name picker, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

Frequently asked questions
How many names can I enter in the random name picker?
Up to 10,000 entries, one per line. You need at least as many entries as winners requested, so asking for 5 winners from a list of 3 names returns an error.
Can the same person be picked twice?
Not within one draw, as long as deduplication is on. Each winner is removed from the pool before the next pick. Running the tool again starts a fresh draw from the full list, so an earlier winner can be selected again.
How do I give someone more chances to win?
Turn off Remove duplicate entries and list that name several times. Each copy acts as an extra ticket and raises the odds. Note that a name listed twice can then fill two winner slots in the same draw.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
What are the input limits?
Text operations generally accept up to 2,000,000 characters. Individual parsers, generators and formulas apply additional limits shown by their controls.
