วิธีใช้ Video compressor

The video compressor re-encodes a video as an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio to reduce its file size. You control quality with a CRF value from 18 to 40, where lower means better quality and larger files, and set a maximum width from 128 to 3840 pixels. Videos already narrower than that width keep their original size.

  1. Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
  2. Set quality crf (lower = better), maximum width (px).
  3. Run video compressor, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

ข้อจำกัดและการประมวลผล

Media input is bounded to 50 MB per file and 100 MB combined. WebAssembly conversions have a 180-second limit and may require substantial browser memory.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย

What CRF value should I use to compress a video?

The default is 28. Values toward 18 keep more detail and produce larger files, while values toward 40 shrink files further with visible quality loss. Run a short test, check the output size, and adjust in small steps.

Will the video compressor upscale a small video?

No. The width is set to the smaller of your maximum width and the original width, and height is calculated to keep the aspect ratio. A 640-pixel video stays 640 pixels even if the maximum is 1280.

Why did my compressed video fail to finish?

Encoding runs in WebAssembly with a 180-second limit, and the output must stay under 50 MB. Long or high-resolution clips may hit these limits, so try a lower maximum width, a higher CRF, or trim the video first.

Where is my input processed?

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.

What are the input limits?
