The Image border and padding maker takes one image and returns a PNG with the same amount of space, from 0 to 2,000 pixels, added on every edge. The added area can be filled with a frame color you choose or left transparent. The original image is not resized, so the output grows by twice the padding in each dimension.
- Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
- Adjust the basic settings, then open Advanced mode for export and fine-tuning options. Custom settings stay active when the panel is closed.

How much does padding increase the image size?
Padding is added to all four edges, so the width and height each grow by twice the padding value. A 1000 × 800 image with 20 pixels of padding becomes 1040 × 840, and the original pixels stay unscaled in the center.
How do I add transparent padding to an image?
Turn on Transparent padding. The frame color is then ignored and the new border area is left fully transparent in the exported PNG, which is useful for icons or adding breathing room around a logo.
What color formats can I use for the border?
The frame color must be a six-digit HEX value such as #ffffff for white or #000000 for black. Short three-digit HEX codes, color names and RGB notation are rejected with an error asking for a six-digit HEX color.
