प्रयोग गर्ने तरिका BMI calculator
The BMI calculator takes weight in kilograms, height in centimeters and an age of 20 or older and returns body mass index in kg/m² with the matching adult CDC screening category. BMI is a screening estimate only; it does not diagnose health or measure body composition, and this calculator does not cover children or teens.

- Change the basic settings or open Advanced mode to fine-tune the result.
- Review and copy or download your result. Pause Live results to run manually. Sources or individual settings above 20,000 characters require an explicit run.

बारम्बार सोधिने प्रश्नहरू
How is BMI calculated?
BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. The calculator converts your height from centimeters to meters first, so 70 kg at 175 cm gives 70 / 1.75², about 22.9 kg/m².
What are the adult BMI categories?
The calculator uses CDC adult cutoffs: below 18.5 is Underweight, 18.5 to under 25 is Healthy weight, 25 to under 30 is Overweight and 30 or above is Obesity. These are screening categories, not a diagnosis.
Can I use the BMI calculator for children or teenagers?
No. Age must be between 20 and 120 because the adult categories do not apply to younger people, whose BMI is assessed with age- and sex-specific percentiles. Weight must be 10 to 500 kg and height 50 to 260 cm.
