How to use Grade calculator
The Grade calculator takes lines of score and weight, such as 85,40, and returns your weighted grade on completed work, the points earned toward 100 and the completed weight. Enter a final exam weight and target course grade to see the final exam score you need. Scores and weights must be between 0 and 100.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my weighted grade?
Each row's score is multiplied by its weight and divided by 100 to get points toward the course. The weighted grade on completed work divides those points by the weight entered so far. Scores of 85 at 40% and 75 at 30% give 56.5 points and a weighted grade of about 80.71%.
What score do I need on the final exam?
The needed score is (target grade − points earned) / final exam weight × 100. With 56.5 points earned, a 30% final and an 80% target, you need about 78.33% on the final. Completed weights plus the final weight must total 100%.
How should I format my grades?
Put one assessment per line as score, weight, for example 85,40. A semicolon or tab can replace the comma. Weights must add up to more than zero and no more than 100, and setting the final exam weight to 0 skips the needed-score calculation.
