Kif tuża Sort lines alphabetically
Sort Lines Alphabetically puts each line of your list in A to Z order, or Z to A with Descending order. Sorting is language-aware and ignores case by default. Advanced options add natural ordering so item2 comes before item10, plus trimming line edges and skipping empty lines, and a numeric mode sorts lists of plain numbers by value.
- Type or paste your source, or load an example.
- Change the basic settings or open Advanced mode to fine-tune the result.
- Review and copy or download your result. Pause Live results to run manually. Sources or individual settings above 20,000 characters require an explicit run.

Mistoqsijiet frekwenti
How do I sort lines so item10 comes after item9?
Enable Natural ordering in Advanced mode. Digits inside each line are then compared by numeric value, so item2 sorts before item10 instead of after it. This works for lines that mix text and numbers.
Why does numeric sorting show an error?
Numeric sorting requires every line to be a number written with a dot as the decimal separator. A blank line, a unit or a comma triggers an error naming the line number; enable Skip empty lines or use natural ordering for mixed lines.
Does sorting treat uppercase and lowercase letters the same?
Yes, by default. Lines are compared by base letters, so case and accents do not affect the order. Turn on Match case to let case and accent differences count when two lines otherwise compare as equal.
