Which way does rotate image turn the picture?

Rotation is clockwise: 90 turns the top edge to the right, 180 turns the image upside down, and 270 gives the same result as turning 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Can I flip an image without rotating it?

The rotation menu offers only 90, 180 and 270 degrees, so every run rotates. For a plain mirror image, combine 180 degrees with Flip vertically to get a horizontal mirror, or 180 with Flip horizontally for a vertical one.

Does rotating an image reduce its quality?

The output is saved as a lossless PNG, so no compression is added. The file can be larger than a JPG source, because PNG stores pixels without lossy compression.

Where is my input processed?

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
