Kif tuża Loan payment calculator

The Loan payment calculator takes a loan amount, annual interest rate and term from 1 to 1,200 months and returns the fixed monthly payment, total interest, total paid and number of payoff months. It uses the standard amortizing loan formula with the nominal annual rate divided by 12. Fees and lender-specific rounding are excluded, so treat the figure as an estimate.

  1. Adjust the values; an initial result is calculated from the defaults.
  2. Change the basic settings or open Advanced mode to fine-tune the result.
  3. Review and copy or download your result. Pause Live results to run manually. Sources or individual settings above 20,000 characters require an explicit run.

A zero interest rate divides the loan by the number of months. Any other rate is a nominal annual rate divided by 12, not an effective annual rate.

How is a monthly loan payment calculated?

With monthly rate r = annual rate / 1200 and n months, the payment is principal × r / (1 − (1 + r)^−n). For 25,000 at 6% over 60 months, that is about 483.32 per month. The calculator then sums every payment to report total interest and total paid.

What happens with a 0% interest loan?

When the rate is zero, the formula is not used. Each payment is the loan amount divided by the number of months, and total interest is reported as zero. For example, 12,000 over 24 months is 500 per month.

Does the annual rate mean APR or effective annual rate?

It is treated as a nominal annual rate divided by 12 for each month. It is not converted from an effective annual rate, and loan fees are not included, so the result may differ from the APR quoted by a lender.
