Cara menggunakan ROI calculator

The ROI calculator takes an investment cost and the total amount returned and gives the return on investment as a percentage plus the net return. ROI is (total return − cost) / cost × 100, measured over the whole holding period. It is not annualized and does not account for time, so compare results across similar periods only.

  1. Adjust the values; an initial result is calculated from the defaults.
  2. Change the basic settings or open Advanced mode to fine-tune the result.
  3. Review and copy or download your result. Pause Live results to run manually. Sources or individual settings above 20,000 characters require an explicit run.

How do I calculate ROI?

Subtract the investment cost from the total amount returned to get the net return, then divide by the cost and multiply by 100. Investing 1,000 and getting 1,300 back gives a net return of 300 and an ROI of 30%.

Is the ROI result an annual return?

No. The calculation has no time period, so the percentage covers the entire investment regardless of how long it lasted. A 30% ROI over five years is shown the same as 30% over one year.

What should I enter as total return?

Enter the full amount you received back, including the original money, not just the profit. If the total return is lower than the cost, net return and ROI are negative. The investment cost must be greater than zero.
