Why does my transparent PNG get a white background as a JPG?
JPEG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas have to be filled with a solid color. The tool uses the Transparency background setting, which is white by default; choose another color before converting.
What quality setting should I use for PNG to JPG?
The default is 0.9. Lower values down to 0.1 produce smaller files with more visible compression artifacts, and 1 gives the highest quality. The output size in KB is shown after each conversion so you can compare settings.
Does PNG to JPG change the image dimensions?
No. The JPG keeps the same width and height as the source PNG. Only the format, the transparency handling and the compression change, and the result lists the width, height and file size.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
What are the input limits?
