Travel budget planner
Sum lodging, food, transport and contingency with user-entered exchange rates.
How to use Travel budget planner
Travel budget planner adds up lodging per night, daily food and activities, and a transport total into a base trip cost. It then applies a contingency percentage from 0 to 100 and multiplies by an exchange rate you enter. The result shows the base total, the total with contingency and the converted total.
- Enter the requested values in the settings panel.
- Adjust the basic settings, then open Advanced mode for export and fine-tuning options. Custom settings stay active when the panel is closed.
- Run travel budget planner, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a travel budget?
Enter the number of nights and lodging cost per night, the number of days and daily spending, and the transport total. The base total is nights times lodging plus days times daily spending plus transport.
How do I convert my travel budget to another currency?
Enter your own rate in the output currency multiplier. The total with contingency is multiplied by it. No live exchange rates are fetched.
What contingency percentage should I add to a trip budget?
Choose a value from 0 to 100 that fits your plans; the default is 10%. It is added on top of the base total to cover unplanned costs.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
What are the input limits?
