The CSV pivot table builder groups rows of a CSV or XLSX file by one or more columns and calculates a sum, count or mean for each group. Enter the group columns separated by commas and the numeric column to aggregate. The summary table has one row per unique combination of group values and downloads as result.csv.

How do I sum sales by category from a CSV?
Set Group columns to category, the Numeric column to your amount column, and Aggregate to sum. Each output row shows one category and the total of its amounts.
Can I group by more than one column?
Yes. List several headers separated by commas, such as region,category. Each unique combination of values becomes a row, with one output column per group field followed by the aggregate.
Why does the pivot builder reject my amount column?
For sum and mean, every value in the numeric column must parse as a number, so text like N/A or currency symbols cause an error. Count ignores that column and only counts rows per group.
