Days until event takes a target date and returns how many calendar days remain from today, using the date on your computer. Today counts as 0, so tomorrow is 1 day away. For a date in the past, it reports the number of days since the target instead. The count is based on calendar dates, not elapsed hours.

Enter December 25 of the year you want as the target date. The result is the number of calendar days from today, using your computer date. If the date has passed this year, use next year to get a positive count.
Does the days until count include today?
No. Today counts as 0, so an event tomorrow is 1 day away and an event today shows 0. This matches how people usually say there are N days left.
What happens if I enter a past date?
The tool shows Days since target with the number of calendar days since that date. The underlying result is negative, and the message states how many days before today the target was.
