Folder size analyzer
Visualize sizes within an explicitly selected folder.
How to use Folder size analyzer
The Folder size analyzer takes a folder you select and adds up file sizes for each folder and subfolder path, listing them from largest to smallest in bytes and MiB. Nested totals include everything below them, so you can see which branches take the most space. Only the files you explicitly selected are counted.
- Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
- Check the source format before running the operation.
- Run folder size analyzer, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.
What this tool supports
Visualize sizes within an explicitly selected folder.
Limits and processing
Up to 200 files, 20 MB each and 100 MB combined. PDFs are limited to 500 pages, contact sheets to 100 pages, and bookmark trees to 1,000 entries and 20 nesting levels. Individual operations apply smaller output limits.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find which folder is using the most space?
Select the folder, then read the table. Rows are sorted by size, largest first, and each folder total includes all of its subfolders, so the top rows show where most of the space goes.
Why does the folder size not match my operating system?
The analyzer counts only the files you selected and the bytes they contain. It does not count disk block overhead, and the upload limits apply. If you pick loose files instead of a folder, it shows a single selected files total.
What is the difference between the Bytes and MiB columns?
Bytes is the exact total. MiB divides it by 1,048,576, which is 1,024 times 1,024, so it is a binary unit. Many systems label that same unit as MB.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
