How do I convert Windows line endings to Unix?
Upload the file and choose LF. Every CRLF pair, and any lone CR, becomes a single LF, which is the line ending used by Linux and macOS tools. Choose CRLF for the reverse.
Can it fix a file with mixed line endings?
Yes. The converter matches CRLF, CR and LF wherever they appear and replaces each with the ending you select, so a file that mixes styles comes out consistent.
Why does my file fail to load in the line ending converter?
The tool only accepts valid UTF-8 text. Files saved in encodings such as Windows-1252 or UTF-16 return an error. Convert them to UTF-8 first with an encoding converter, then change the line endings.
