Paint quantity calculator
Estimate coverage from wall area, coats and product coverage values.
Sådan bruger du Paint quantity calculator
The Paint quantity calculator estimates liters of paint from total wall area, minus window and door openings, multiplied by the number of coats and divided by the coverage per liter per coat, then increased by a waste percentage. Areas are in square meters, coats can be 1 to 10, and coverage should come from the product label.
- Enter the requested values in the settings panel.
- Adjust the basic settings, then open Advanced mode for export and fine-tuning options. Custom settings stay active when the panel is closed.
- Run paint quantity calculator, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

Ofte stillede spørgsmål
How much paint do I need for a room?
Enter the total wall area and the area of openings in square meters. With the defaults of 50 m² walls, 5 m² openings, 2 coats, 10 m² per liter and 10 percent waste, the estimate is 9.9 liters.
What formula does the paint calculator use?
Liters = (wall area - openings) × coats ÷ coverage × (1 + waste ÷ 100). Coverage is the square meters one liter covers in one coat. Check the value against the manufacturer data for your surface and product.
Where do I find the coverage value for paint?
Use the coverage stated on the paint tin or technical data sheet, in square meters per liter per coat. Rough or porous surfaces usually cover less area, so a lower value gives a more cautious estimate.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
What are the input limits?
