How to use Remove text from photo
Remove text from photo erases captions, labels or other overlaid text from areas you select in an image. You mark the text with a brush or a rectangle, and the tool fills those pixels from the surrounding colors before smoothing the patch. It does not detect text automatically and works on images up to 2 megapixels.
- Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
- Set brush radius (px), selection left, selection top, selection width, selection height.
- Run remove text from photo, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.
What this tool supports
Paint a mask or enter rectangle coordinates. Browser boundary propagation and smoothing estimate the selected area from surrounding pixels. Large objects and complex textures may blur. Keep the original.

Frequently asked questions
Does remove text from photo find the text automatically?
No. You select the text yourself by painting over it or by entering the left, top, width and height of a rectangle. Only the selected pixels are changed in the output.
How do I remove several lines of text in one go?
Paint brush strokes over each line before running the tool, and all strokes combine into one mask. Up to 200 strokes are accepted, and the total selection must stay under half the image area.
Will text on a busy background disappear cleanly?
Results look cleanest where the text sits on smooth color or gentle gradients. On detailed backgrounds the filled area is blended from its edges and may look soft, so compare it with the original before using it.
Where is my input processed?
Processes source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source is not saved to account history.
