How to use QR code scanner

The QR code scanner decodes a QR code from an uploaded image or a live camera feed and returns the encoded text. Uploaded images up to 10 MB and 25 megapixels are read with the jsQR library, and camera frames are checked every half second. Decoded links are shown as text and are never opened automatically.

  1. Choose a source file. If the tool accepts multiple files, arrange them in the order you want.
  2. Check the source format before running the operation.
  3. Run qr code scanner, review the output, then use the available copy or download controls.

What this tool supports

Read a QR code from an uploaded image.

Limits and processing

Use finite numbers, valid dates and the ranges shown by each control. Invalid values produce an error without a downloadable result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I scan a QR code with my webcam instead of uploading a photo?

Yes. Choose Open camera to start a live preview; frames are scanned every 500 milliseconds and the camera stops once a code is found. It also stops when the tab is hidden. If camera decoding fails, upload a photo of the code instead.

Why does the scanner say no QR code found?

The decoder could not locate a code in the image. Use a sharper, straight-on photo in which the whole code and its quiet zone are visible. Images larger than 25 megapixels are rejected, so crop or resize very large photos first.

Is it safe to scan a QR code link with this tool?

The result is shown as plain text and links are never opened automatically, so you can read the full URL before deciding whether to visit it. Copy the decoded text if you want to inspect it somewhere else first.

Where is my input processed?

This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.

What are the input limits?

Use finite numbers, valid dates and the ranges shown by each control. Invalid values produce an error without a downloadable result.
