Com utilitzar Percentage increase calculator
The Percentage increase calculator takes an original value and a new value and returns the percentage change and the raw difference between them. The formula is (new − original) / |original| × 100, so a negative result means a decrease. Using the absolute starting value keeps the sign meaningful even when the original number is negative.
- Adjust the values; an initial result is calculated from the defaults.
- Change the basic settings or open Advanced mode to fine-tune the result.
- Review and copy or download your result. Pause Live results to run manually. Sources or individual settings above 20,000 characters require an explicit run.

Preguntes freqüents
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the absolute original value and multiply by 100. Going from 100 to 125 gives (125 − 100) / 100 × 100 = 25%. The calculator also shows the difference of 25.
How does the calculator handle a percentage decrease?
The same formula is used, so a decrease appears as a negative change. Going from 125 to 100 is (100 − 125) / 125 × 100 = −20%, not −25%, because the starting value is the denominator.
Why can't I calculate a change from zero?
Percentage change divides by the original value, and dividing by zero is undefined. When the original value is 0, the calculator returns an error instead of a misleading percentage. The new value can be zero.
