Redact PDF permanently draws a black box over a rectangle you define and rebuilds every page as an image. Set the box with left, top, width and height values in PDF points and apply it to all or selected pages. The rebuilt PDF drops the original text layers, links, forms and metadata, and the resolution can be set from 72 to 300 DPI.

- Set pages (blank = all; e.g. 1,3-5), left (pdf points), top (pdf points), redaction width (points), redaction height (points) and the other available options.

Can redacted text be recovered by copying it out of the PDF?
No text layer is copied into the new file. Each page is rendered to pixels, the selected area is filled black, and the page is saved as an image, so the covered text is not stored underneath. Inspect every page before sharing.
How do I set the position of the redaction box?
Measure in PDF points from the top-left corner of the page: left and top set the corner, and width and height set the size. The default box is 200 by 40 points, and it must fit inside every selected page.
Can I redact different areas on different pages?
Each run applies one rectangle at the same position on all selected pages. For different areas, run the tool again on the redacted output with new coordinates and page numbers.
Where is my input processed?
This operation processes its source in your browser. Copy and download are explicit actions; source input is not saved in an account or history.
