Debt payoff planner
Compare snowball and avalanche payments using editable rates and balances.
Як карыстацца Debt payoff planner
Debt payoff planner simulates paying off several debts month by month with the avalanche or snowball strategy. Enter one debt per line as name, balance, annual rate and minimum payment, then set a total monthly budget. The table shows each debt's remaining balance, interest paid and payoff month, using a simplified monthly interest approximation.

Частыя пытанні
What is the difference between debt avalanche and snowball?
After all minimum payments, avalanche puts the extra money on the debt with the highest interest rate first, while snowball targets the smallest balance first. Run both strategies with the same budget to compare total interest and payoff months.
How do I enter my debts in the payoff planner?
Write one debt per line with four comma-separated values: name, balance, annual interest rate in percent and minimum monthly payment, for example Card,2000,18,60. Balances and rates must be nonnegative and minimums positive.
Why does the planner say my budget must cover minimum payments?
The monthly budget has to be at least the sum of all minimum payments. Raise the budget or adjust the minimums. Results use monthly interest approximations, so actual lender calculations may differ.
